paragraph 3, sentence 1:  I suggest breaking this into a few sentences.
  It is hard to read as it currently is written.  Then put in a
paragraph break at "Specific forthcoming papers..."

The Sample:

paragraph 1, first sentence:  change to "The LVL consists of a tiered
sample of 258 galaxies..."  The information about GALEX and, Halpha and
  Spitzer imaging can be given later in the paragraph (some of it
already is).

Section 5.4: bottom of page 14: there is a parenthesis problem in the 
citations.
