I'm impressed by your detailed familiarity with a second language! Below are a few comments in response to your suggestions. Yes, I carried out the 850um photometry, and so I know firsthand that those maps were large enough to encompass the entire galaxy emission. Except for N5033, for which the sky estimate is suspect. I describe this in Dale+05; I've added a reference to this paper. I did indeed comment on the fact that the new U_min values are lower is due to the new lower SPIRE fluxes (Section 4.2). Only 2 galaxies show U_min values that are higher, so I didn't comment on that (other flux changes elsewhere matter for those). I've added the dispersions to Figure 5. Do you know of a simple script that makes nice-looking 2D contour plots (for the SDSS-based Figure 1)?
