Welcome to Physics 1210! (Physics I for scientists & engineers)
- Please sit at a table where you find your name.
- On notecard:
- Name (nickname?),
- previous physics experience, if any,
- any particular concerns you might have about this class
- something interesting/unique about you that I can use to help remember you.
- anything you want to tell me about how I can help you be successful as a student in physics this semester
- Most of you are taking this class as a requirement for some science or engineering major. With people at your table, 1) introduce yourself to others, 2) brainstorm and list a few things that either you or your department (or, the agency that accredits your degree program) wants you to gain from this semester in physics.
- If you are willing, exchange phone/email with people in your group
Bring course packet & calculators each day.
NOTE: If you don't check your UW email, forward it to your phone. This is how I will communicate with the class.
