How to change the dry nitrogen tank:
1. Go to the tool box right below the light switch that you turn
on when you go into the dome.
2. Open the drawer marked "Large Wrenches".
3. Pull out the adjustable wrench and carry it over to the dry
nitrogen tank.
4. Make sure that the regulator is strapped to something so that
when you take it off it doesn't blow off and kill someone (it
can). I used bungee cords, but this can be improvised as long as
you secure it tightly.
5. Use the wrench to make sure that the tank is completely
closed. (The nozzle on the top of the tank.)
6. Take off the regulator. Use the wrench to turn the nut
holding the regulator to the nitrogen tank. This is harder than
it looks. I had to use more strength than I thought I
possessed. (The WySH team needs to be on a weightlifiting
regimen.)
7. Carefully (these tanks are heavy!) take the empty tank out of
the holder and replace it with a full one from the wall nearby.
There should be a cart nearby to assist in moving the tank that has a
chain on it which prevents the tank from rolling off the cart.
8. "Lock" both tanks into their new holders before continuing to
do anything else. You DO NOT want to drop one of these and have
it explode or something.
9. Reattach the regulator to the new tank. At this point,
it does not need to be securely strapped to anything as there is no
pressure built up in that connection yet.
10. You're now ready to go, but make sure that you mark the empty
tank somehow so that the next person knows it's empty or so that the
engineering staff can take it down and get it refilled.
