- Chapter 15 covers the temperature fluctuations in the cosmic microwave
background radiation.
- Suggest reviewing the WMAP papers/webpages, Wayne Hu’s website, would
be valuable. Links in Feb.
lectures.

|
- Chapter 16 covers the “dark ages,” mostly through theory and simulation.
- Chapter 17 is galaxies and AGN, through cosmic epoch (k-corrections,
mass, counts, evolution, etc.).
- Chapter 18 focuses on star formation and element formation as a function
of redshift.
- Chapter 19 discusses the IGM. The
Gunn-Peterson talk should hit on this.
In general, talks will cover the above topics at some level.

- Lots of juicy stuff here that Longair placed outside of the scope of the
course. Primary one in my mind is
inflation, although magnetic fields, etc., are also important and
interesting.
