Basic Shut-Down Procedures

These instructions should only be used by persons already familiar with the procedure. Please refer to the full manual for more detailed instructions.

Dewar Home

1. Turn the drive electronics off:

power supply

2. Turn off Filter_Wheel_Control.vi

3. Set the heater voltages to zero.

4. If it is the end of the run, disconnect cables and dismount the dewar from the telescope.

CAUTION

Do NOT handle the dewar by the valve. Do NOT touch the window. Place a protective plate over the window.

5. Dump leftover cryogen.
