ASTR 1050 Fall 2018

This is the course webpage for the Fall 2018 section of ASTR 1050. The goal of this course is to give students a cosmic perspective, that is a sense of their place in the wider universe and the wonders therein. This course will touch upon the planets of the solar system, the Sun and other stars, the Milky Way and galaxies at large, and current topics of interest including the Greenhouse Effect and planets around other stars (exoplanets).
