NIIS Cryo-Mechanical Design
Side-cut View of the NIIS Dewer. Light enters from the
left and is shown in pink. The optical bench and the LN2 tank is
visable along the bottom. It is attached to the front flange with a
large G10 ring and the rear flange via a G10 star-shaped structure. The
lenses are assembled into three stacks; the corrector, the collimator,
and the camera. These stacks are mounted within tubes and along with
the filter wheel and detector
assembly are mounted to the optical bench.
